It is with great pride that I invite you to New York City in July 2014 to help us honor the Centennial of the Head and Neck Cancer Program at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. We will celebrate this once in a lifetime event at the 5th World Congress of the International Federation of Head and Neck Oncologic Societies, a meeting jointly hosted by the American Head and Neck Society.
The Head and Neck Program was one of the first subspecialty Services established at MSKCC in 1914 by the visionary physician James Ewing. Ewing was later instrumental in developing other subspecialties of surgery at MSKCC. We are particularly proud of the Head and Neck Program as the leaders of this Program has developed, fostered and supported the growth of the specialty of head and neck surgery worldwide. The Head and Neck Surgery Program has now grown into a multi-disciplinary Head and Neck Disease Management Team that we feel is one of the best in the world.
We at MSKCC take great pride in celebrating the Centennial of the Head and Neck Program and invite you to join us in this celebration and attend one of the most informative and comprehensive World Congresses in Head and Neck Surgery and oncology.
Looking forward to seeing you all in New York next July,
With best wishes,
Craig B. Thompson, MD
